Part of our Heritage Collection, the Mallow Forest Beeswax Bag is handmade from beautiful 100% cotton, carefully chosen for its quality, feel and structure.

At approximately 12 x 14 inches, it’s a generous everyday size, perfect for sourdough, artisan loaves, homemade bread and bakery favourites.

The slightly heavier cotton gives the bag a wonderfully substantial feel and helps it hold its shape, while our natural beeswax coating creates the breathable environment that makes beeswax such a lovely way to store bread.

Why store bread in beeswax?

Beeswax helps to reduce moisture loss while still allowing your bread to breathe. It’s particularly suited to those who prefer their bread soft and lovely to eat, rather than maintaining a very crisp crust.

There are no zips, plastic linings or complicated fastenings. Simply pop your completely cooled loaf inside and fold the top over.

Caring for your bag

Shake out loose crumbs between uses.

When your bag needs a clean, gently wash it in cool water with a little mild washing-up liquid and leave it to air dry.

Avoid hot water and direct heat, as these can melt the natural beeswax coating.

Over time, your bag can be refreshed to extend its useful life.
